With origins that hark back to 1147, Château Cantemerle is one of the oldest estates in the Haut-Médoc. Managed by the Cordier family, Château Cantemerle will seduce wine lovers with the style of its wines. Exuding harmony and elegance, the wine's expression is due to an utterly subtle aromatic palette and a very fine tannic structure.
Château Cantemerle 2021 is an Haut-Médoc wine that stems from a 96-hectare vineyard. The vines are 40 years old on average and are planted on a terroir composed of gravel and silica from the Quaternary period. Although the frosts on April 7th and 8th had a major impact on the vineyard, the teams' rigour and the estate's sandy-gravel soils led to the harvesting of healthy grapes that boasted a perfect ripeness level and thus revealed a beautiful freshness and bright fruit expression.
The blend, Cabernet Sauvignon (65%),Merlot (21%), Cabernet Franc (9%), Petit Verdot (5%).
