Food Recommendations

Dark ruby colour with an aromatic nose offering black fruit and a touch of herbs with spices. The palate has round tannins, ripe dark berries, great acidity and structure with a hint of spice and chocolate on the finish.

Purchased in 2000 by Dominique Hébrard, former owner of Chateau Cheval Blanc, the historic 14,5 hectare Chateau Trianon Saint-Emilion Grand Cru estate is in the south-west part of Saint-Emilion. Since the beginning of his ownership Dominique has focused on creating the highest quality wines; overseeing significant investment and re-organisation of the vineyard and winery. The ultimate ambition for Chateau Trianon is to achieve Grand Cru Classé status. In addition to the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru there is a second wine, Pavillon de Trianon.

The estate is located southwest of Saint-Emilion, where it can be traced back to the 17th century. The story goes that a steward of Louis XIV had the castle built and named it “Trianon” in homage to Versailles.

Easy-drinking wine which goes well with barbecue, cheese platter, red meat, chicken and cheese.
