Smooth Rosé Gris from just outside St Tropez.
A smooth Rosé Gris with an expressive bouquet full of red fruit flavours with fresh metholated notes and citrus fruit flavours on the finish. Fine classic rosé from provence, light delicate rose petal colours with notes of mint and lavender. Fresh crisp mineral backing to a mouthful of water melon and strawberry fruits and a citrus finish.
In the 1880's, when Alexandre Castellan founder of the Domaine du Val de Gilly, settled on the estate, vine cultivation was only secondary in comparison with the forest works and olive cultivation. The next generation made up their minds to reverse the situation especially after the freezing of the olive trees in 1956, and they started to concentrate on vine cultivation.
Managed today by Nadine and Marion Castellan “the fifth and sixth generation†this magnificent property extends 27 hectares of AOC Cotes de Provence classified hillsides. Their care and maintenance shows through working with ‘lutte raisonnée' and complete sustainability give a clean and remarkable finish.
