Larry Cherubino Wines is a name that consistently pops up when discussing Western Australian wine. Larry Cherubino, the man behind the label, is a bit of a legend in the region. After graduating from Australia's prestigious Roseworthy program, he spent years honing his craft around the world before returning home in 2005 to set up his own show. Today, he's not only making highly regarded wines under his own label, but also lends his expertise to a number of other big names. Larry's a bloke who wears his passion for winemaking clearly on his sleeve, and it shows in the quality of the wines he produces.
The Chardonnay grapes are sourced from a cool-climate region, where high rainfall during the vintage required careful selection. Hand-picked and meticulously sorted, the fruit showcased excellent aromatic quality, contributing to a beautifully balanced wine.
After harvest, the grapes were whole-bunch pressed and fermented using natural yeasts. The wine was aged in a mix of new and two-year-old French oak barrels, enhancing depth and complexity while maintaining a fresh, cool-climate acidity.
